After 2 failed Martinis, 1 very-much-failed Cinderella and another almost-there-heavily-modified-version of the Screwdriver, I finally made a successful "Delilah", also known as "White Lady".
Technically the ratios of ingredients in the first Martini I made actually qualified it for the drink named "50:50", a variation of the traditional Martini, so it was not exactly "failed". However the taste suited none in my family so it was considered a fail.
This Delilah was different. Except for my father who felt there was too much lemon juice and my sister who is too young to drink, everyone of us felt that it was a rather nice drink.
So here it is! Documented! Let it be known that the first real successful cocktail I made is Delilah!
