Just saw Stan off at Changi Airport (and am already blogging this at the airport while waiting for my father) and saw a most tearful family goodbye being said.
You know how we've (well, me, at least) often heard how Malaysian men are family-oriented? Well, I feel like I've just seen and heard about a real-life example today. Somehow I feel like I am also seeing something like an epitome of the typical Asian family. It is nice to see a family so close.
It also happens to make me feel guilty, knowing I am not as filial as I could be. Argh, I feel like I should do something about it.

Ninja turtle!
My small, lovely and stunted-in-growth terrapin:

We are quite sure it is stunted in growth, considering it ate dog food for a short period of time to survive when it escaped while it was still very, very young and much smaller in size, before my father brought the tiny thing home. It was also apparently barked at by dogs. The poor thing.
Well, it could also be that we aren't giving it enough food to eat. One thing for sure, it does not appreciate lettuce. Nor grape. Please don't ask why we (or I, rather) dropped grape into the tank. My cousin said our terrapin needs more nourishment.
Although it is a terrapin, I call it "tortoise/torty" so often that I have half a mind to name it "Morty", until I remembered Sheylara named her lizard that as well. Hmm, on second thoughts, they are both reptiles, so maybe it is a good idea.
Stan says "torte" means "cake" in german. Woohoo. A mildly appetizing terrapin. Good idea!

36秒
From the show 桃花小妹:
It is one of my favourite scenes because it is so beautifully written. Hope you will like it as well.
(In those short 36 seconds, snow-like particles came drifting down from cotton trees. Lightning flashed across the sky. An old, loving couple walked past. Happiness is inscribed on the faces of young couples. The traffic light blinked like an eye. A girl with a flower-patterned umbrella turned around and smiled. A boy stepped into fresh spring mud with his left foot.
His heart is beating rapidly. He blinked once. A watch on his right hand, he holds out the umbrella to me with his left.
Why do I remember every single detail? Every detail which I have never noticed before.
Ah! I forgot to breathe.)
